The Audacious Cakery | ThumbsForFood

We were definitely pleased to stumble upon The Audacious Cakery while cafehopping around Outram Park. The Audacious Cakery is located at an inconspicuous corner of Everton Park. The shop has a small indoor and outdoor seating capacity, suitable for small group gathering and meetings over desserts. 

The Audacious Cakery serves up a series of cakes. The cakes are visually appealing and the colors of the cake will immediately grab your attention to it. We asked for recommendation for something light as we were all quite full. As such, we tried Exotique and Faith. 

Exotique ($7.80) is actually made of Mango and Coconut Mousse topped onto sponge cake with fresh mango and papaya bits on top. Looking at its ingredients alone, it might be difficult to imagine how the different flavors will come together. However, all these flavors were able to perfectly complement each other despite its complex combination. All of us agreed that the cake was refreshing and unique on its own. 

Faith ($6.80) consists of a Green Tea and Black Sesame Mousse topped on Green Tea sponge. For a green tea lover, I really enjoyed the cake as even though it was light, the fragrance of the green tea is not lost. If a petite cake is insufficient to satisfy, Audacious offers larger cakes for sale. This cakery will definitely be on the top of my list to order a birthday cake next time round.

The Audacious Cakery also offers a range of cupcakes. Look at the striking and attractive colors of the cupcake; it really whets one’s appetite. Cupcakes are sold at $3.50 each. I would love to come back to get some soon!

For Macaroon lovers, Audacious has a series of macaroons that look really good too. They have interesting flavors such as Lemongrass and Coconut.

If you are in the neighborhood, we do think that Audacious is a must-try place to swing by and grab some desserts! What was commendable was also the good service provided by the staff who took the initiative to bring out extra chairs and serve us water. We’ll definitely be back to try the other sweets! J
