Shots @ Ann Siang Hill | ThumbsForFood

Shots has been at Ann Siang Hill for quite some time. Even though it moved to a different area, it is still within  stone's throw away from it's previous unit in Ann Siang.

To prepare ourselves for the Halloween Horrors at USS, we decided to give Shots a shot to ease our fears!

They have a variety of cakes, brownies, muffins, sandwiches, scones, cookies, e.t.c. Shots is basically a cafe that serves desserts and some food for you to go with the coffee or tea. It is more suitable for teatime and probably breakfast if you're into eating sandwiches and scones.Prices are range from about $4 to about $8. They do serve gelato too!

Croissants, scones and cookies are also available

Sleek coffee counter and Gelato counter
The restaurant is simply decorated with paintings hung on the wall. The cafe is well-lit so it is good for business discussions and reading book as well. If you are interested in buying the painting on the wall, they are for sales. I took  peek at the price for one of them and saw that it was about $6000.

Good place for chilling out and reading
We ordered a Chocolate Fudge Cake (about $6) and an Apple Cinnamon Muffin (about $5). The chocolate fudge is nothing special and unique. It tastes like a normal homemade chocolate cake, simple and no frills. The muffin was warmed up and thus, the exterior is more crunchy and the interior soft and fluffy. Having said that, these two items we tried were rather ordinary tasting.

Drinks wise, we bought a mocha (about $5) and a hot chocolate (about $4). I didn't know that we could request for personalized coffee art! What a pity. Well, I guess the hot chocolate is really very normal. The mocha was also very normal. No wow factor like Magic Coffee. I really like the cups and saucers that they serve the hot drinks in.

Overall, Shots has a pretty good ambience I would say. It is pretty comfortable to spend the afternoon with a book and a cup of coffee! For the food wise, I would say that it could be better improved in terms of uniqueness to attract more customers. If you're in the vicinity no harm trying this place to chill and catchup on life.

Our Rating: 5.8/10
Must Tries: Coffee (Have not tried enough of the rest of food to ascertain whether it would be worth opening)
